What is Flash? Flash is a fully-featured animation program used from creating spot web effects to interactive games and presentations. It is often incorporated into a site to create subtle effects to enhance the user experience. Some clients favour the 'Flash intro' to showcase the product or service before launching into the main site.

With Flash, you can go as far as you like (some websites are completely written in Flash and incorporate coding structures using the native Actionscript coding language), although Search Engines cannot read the contents of a Flash file, so quite often it's better to merge Flash with standard HTML coding, which is far friendlier towards the search engines, and is more suitable for visitors with visual impairment.
